Overcoming Fear of Public Speaking

Communication anxiety, the fear of speaking in public, is a common difficulty experienced by many people in every profession in the world.

These people can be the leading authority on their field of expertise and be overcoming social anxietyterrified of addressing a group of people. Communication anxiety can also affect a person’s job performance. If one has to give a presentation to managers or other employees and suffers from communication anxiety, he/she may appear unprepared or even foolish despite having all the needed elements in place except the ability to speak coherently.

The ability to peak well is of prime importance in education and professional presentation. This is one of the reasons that every university in the country requires communication classes. These schools know that speaking to groups of people will be required of everyone at some point in time by their profession. These classes are designed to teach effective speaking habits and tactics to dealing with anxiety about the presentation before getting in front of a group.

Overcoming communication anxiety is usually fairly simple unless the individual suffers from an honest phobia about speaking in public. The first step to overcoming anxiety over speaking to a group is to examine one’s own feelings. Is the physical sensation one is experiencing genuine fear or simply excitement? Of feelings of excitement are confused with anxiety because the physical sensations associated with the two are very similar.

The second step is to review the subject of the presentation or speech thoroughly to eliminate any chance that one has overlooked a detail that could come back to haunt one later. Knowing the material intimately will help a person overcome anxiety by allowing him/her to relax into the knowledge and forget about the group of people being addressed.

The third step is to postpone the meeting or speak ing engagement if feelings of anxiety are overpowering. There are some tricks that people suggest,Overcoming fear of public speaking. such as picturing the audience in their underwear, which may help one to relax. If relaxation and calm are not forthcoming after taking the first two steps, postpone the meeting until one is completely satisfied that his/her knowledge of the topic is sufficient to overcome any possible shortcomings and that any questions asked can be answered knowledgeably. Once one is totally secure in his/her familiarity with the topic of the presentation, the fear of addressing a group can be treated as excitement and dealt with in a rational manner. Of course, when everything else fails, and you feel as if you standing in front of a group of people completely naked, make sure you envision them sitting in their chairs naked too. Remember, you are still equal to them in every way.

Cure Panic Attacks Now

Panic attacks are incredibly frightening. You feel powerless and wish you had control. You can gain control so that you lose your fear. You can use programs to help cure panic attacks and gain your life back once again.

Can you cure panic attacks? This is a tricky question that requires a bit of understanding and explanation. The answer is really yes and no.How to overcome panic attacks.

There are two kinds of panic attacks. One is brought on by a  specific reason or trigger. For example, if you’re afraid of spiders, then being exposed to it will trigger a panic attack. This can be cured.

The other kind of panic attack comes on for no apparent reason. It can hit you at any time, no matter what you’re doing or how good or bad you’re feeling. This can be a challenge to cure.

However, it can be done, but let us take the word "cure" to mean "as good as new". In other words, you can make such improvement that it no longer is a significant part of your life.

You are back to your best and not troubled any more by panic attacks. You are as good as cured. BUT, this kind of panic attack can return again years later, either in the same way or in some different form.

Having said this, everyone is different and unique. There are those who may never be troubled again. There are others who may face another challenge years later.

Panic attacks can be compared to life itself. You never know what’s in store for you. It’s hard to say whether you’ll get another attack or not. But if you do, it’s likely to be few and far between.

The thing to remember is that it’s treatable with a very good success rate. Also, having experienced it before, you’re not confused when initially faced with it. You now know what needs to be done.

The issue really isn’t the panic attack. It’s how to react to it. It’s how terrified it makes you feel. If you lose the fear (a major issue), then you gain control over it, not the other way around.

Panic Away and The Linden Method are both very good drug-free programs to help Overcoming panic attacks.you overcome your fear of panic attacks, so much so that they can even reduce or eliminate them eventually.

Both programs were created by ex-sufferers, so they have been in your shoes. Their programs have helped thousands of people get their life back. Check these out. You can do the same.

Yoga For Anxiety Natural Remedies

Panic Attacks are episodes of extreme anxiety when when your brain sends out stimulation to your sympathetic system without any apparent cause.

This causes the symptoms of racing heart, tightening of chest, difficulty in breathing, sweating, extreme nervousness etc.

Physical symptoms of anxiety and stress.Physical symptoms of anxiety and stress. Since the all the physical symptoms are related to the stimulation of your sympathetic system, it makes sense to try and inhibit this system for the treatment of panic attacks. Also, during the phases between the the attacks, the threshold of the sympathetic system is also lowered (meaning that the bomb has a very small fuse - takes very little stimulation to set it off). Thus by depressing the sympathetic system, the threshold for the panic attacks also increases thus preventing another potentia attack.

Now, for depressing the sympathetic system various drugs are available in the market, such as propanolol, which lead to the prevention of further panic attack. While these drugs do provide instant gratification, these are only for symptomatic treatment - that is they cure the symptoms but not the root cause. Also drugs have multiple side effects and do not have any long term benefits.

This is where we start discussing the role of Yoga in panic attack treatment. YogaNatural cure for anxiety. is basically a set of exercises which in some as yet unknown way have purportedly led to the treatment of many diseases. The Yoga for panic attacks has a simple and straightforward mechanism - it depresses the sympathetic system by change in your body’s nervous system firing rates and probably through hormonal changes as well. Thus over the long term your sympathetic system slowly stabilizes. Thus you have fewer number of panic attacks and the panic disorder component also get cured as a secondary effect of lowered number of panic attacks and increased self confidence.

A Natural Cure For Anxiety Attacks

For those of us unfortunate enough to have to suffer the horror that are anxiety panic attack symptoms, help is at hand with the vast range of products and services that are now available.

The only downside is that because of the multitude of options on offer to sufferers, the choice of which one to choose has made the decision a whole lot harder.

Dealing with panic attacks.Whilst the range of anxiety panic attack products and services has grown considerably, thankfully, when it comes to choosing which anxiety panic attack treatment is the most effective, there are only two choices to be considered: do you use medication or choose the increasingly popular natural cures for anxiety panic attacks?

I have met a lot of steadfast sufferers over the years who, having started on one regime of treatment for their anxiety panic attacks, completely ignore the fact there is another option open to them. That’s fine. That’s their choice. Personally, I believe that natural is the way to go. There are some that will scoff at this choice, but when dealing with anxiety panic attack symptoms it’s a matter of what is the most effective and whilst some will praise the merits of medication, natural cures for panic attacks are able to accomplish what medicines simply can’t do.

Here are my top 3 reasons why we should tackle anxiety panic attack symptoms naturally:

1. Medication. Medicines just don’t quite go the whole way.

Trembling, the shortness of breath, palpitations, perspiration, that fear of going mad and of dying; and those are just a few of the many anxiety panic attack symptoms. The fact that there is something tangible at hand that can instantly reduce those attacks and provide a quick dose of instant relaxation, means that sufferers automatically reach out for that medication.

Panic attack over, these people are now happy knowing that that panic attack isn’t going to happen so often. And therein lies the biggest problem. There’s no denying that medication is effective in that it provides relief from attacks, but that relief is only temporary. Medication alone can’t do away with anxiety. It’s only purpose is to operate on the superficial level. It hasn’t got the capability to reach the heart of the problem and rip out the fear that those anxiety panic attack symptoms bring on.

2. Fighting back IS possible if given the right tools.

The panic attack’s over and you’re starting to feel a lot better now that the medication is kicking in. But have yopu stopped to consider what’s going to happen the next time you have another attack? Are you going to have another attack? That medication is all very well, but why make yourself a sitting duck when panic does attack when there are natural methods that you should consider?

Reducing the number of attacks with medication isn’t always the best option. By choosing to rely on the natural coping techniques that are available this will help to reduce the horror of going through them. Over time, not only will these attacks lose their edge, but they will eventually leave you alone.

3. The effects last … naturally!

What do you do when you’re medication runs out? What’s going to happen if your Doctor feels that your panic attacks are no more and you no longer require medication even though you feel your world will end without it? The effects of medication will only last for as long as you keep taking it. Once that stops, you will find yourself back at square one. Natural cures for panic attacks will put you well up the ladder to eliminating these attacks entirely. They will afford you the experience that will help you fend them off for life.

As I said earler, I’m not one to start dictating to you that you MUST choose one method over another when it comes to anxiety panic attack treatment. I’m not going to stand here and say to you, you WILL use natural cures for anxiety panic attacks. Medicines do have their merits. I’d much rather look to the future, and if a life free from anxiety panic attack symptoms can be achieved through the natural approach, then I’m sticking to it.
